Client: Private commission
The client asked for a picture of his family. He provided reference pictures, but asked that I did not do simply a portrait or caricature, but used the reference to come up with something fun and adventurous. After a couple of sketches, I settled on a strong idea and submited that to the client.
He made a few notes, like incorporating the family car into the picture, and mentioned the love of his son for animals and dinossaurs. And that helped click everything together.
