Client: FabrÃcio Azevedo, journalist, writer and comic book writer from BrasÃlia, Brazil.
The client asked for an image to be used as a cover for the second book on his "Joana" series, "Joanna and the 5th Goddess".
The client provived a copy of the book's manuscript and there was some discussion about the story and the characters and what exxactly he expected to be highlithed on the cover image.
A basic idea of what the cover would be was sketched, along with some pretty rough sketches for the characters. Some back and forth took place and a more clearly defined idea took shape.
After some more refining and discussion, the final image was locked in and we took it to the final stage, always being mindful of the spaces for the copy and the text on the flaps of the cover as well as the spine of the book. This was the final image, approved by the client:
