This is a personal project, a new illustration to be used as the cover for this very website, my own profesional portfolio.
With the arrival of 2026, I felt it was a good time to update the cover image of the site. The previous one depicted me, as a photograph, interacting with characters that I've created and drawn over the years.
I like this idea, and it seems to have been well received by visitors as well. So I decided to update it, having a new version entirely hand drawn with new characters and new versions of previously show chaaracters.
After searching and selecting the characters, I proceeded with drawing the illustration, putting emphazis on the cartoony, illustrated look and feel of the piece, as well as in the act of drawing itself. This is the final version, which can be seen on the home page of this portfolio.
